Movies in the Park To Screen Another Family Favorite Wednesday

Apr 03, 2014 02:37PM, Published by Steven Jack, Categories: Community

The Screening of Frozen at the village's first Movies in the Park in May was a huge hit. More than 600 people attended the sing-along event, but unfortunately rain canceled Up in June.

Oswego families will have the chance to see another blockbuster this Wednesday when Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is shown. Movies in the Park are organized by Oswego's Cultural Arts Commission.

Kona Ice and Chick-fil-A will both be present for refreshments.

The event had been taking place at Village Green Park behind the Oswego Post Office, but the event was moved to Village Hall this year because the village wanted to showcase a space that many in the community may not know about, said Tia Brooks, the village's Tourism Bureau assistant.

Movies in the park start at dusk (8:15), are free and open to the public.

Here's a look at the remaining schedule for this year:
  • July 16, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2
  • Aug. 6, Despicable Me 2
