Oswego Police Reports: Goose Run Over, Garage Takes Shotgun Blast

Domestic battery

John Hull of the 0-99 block of Pendleton Place, Oswego Township, was charged with domestic battery at about 7:30 p.m. April 14 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. The report revealed Hull allegedly had battered two family members.

Underage drinking

Daniel Ramirez, 18, of 200 Paradise Parkway, Oswego, was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor at about 8:45 p.m. April 15 at Northgate Drive and Northgate Circle, according to an Oswego Police report. He was given a May 13 court date.

Trespass

Dustin Schmidt, 19, of Plano, was charged with criminal trespass to residence at about 7:55 p.m. April 15 at a home on Surrey Road in Oswego Township, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. 

Computer theft

Oswego Police are investigating the theft of a computer and damage to nine more that took palace at about 1:20 p.m. April 15 at the Oswego Walmart. About $4,100 in damages was reported.

Construction materials stolen

A crew working on a home in the Churchill subdivision reported the theft of construction materials from four job sites sometime before 1:20 p.m. April 15, according to an Oswego Police report. More than $300 in items were reported missing.

Domestic battery

Michael Kipper, 34, of Yorkville, was charged with domestic battery after an incident at about 1:30 a.m. April 17 in the 200 block of Springbrook Trail South, according to an Oswego Police report. He was given a May 28 court date.

Jessica Jenson, 35, of 1016 Route 30, was charged with domestic battery at about 6:30 p.m. April 17 at her home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. 

Theft from Kohl’s

Francine Patton, 24, of Yorkville, was charged with retail theft at about 5 p.m. April 17 at Kohl’s, according to an Oswego Police report. She was given a May 28 court date.

Domestic battery

Matthew Langerveld, 22, of 404 Bayberry, Oswego, was charged with domestic battery at about 2 p.m. April 16 at his home, Oswego police reported. 

Vehicle break-in

A resident in the 600 block of Mansfield Way, reported someone broke into their unlocked vehicle sometime before 8:30 a.m. April 18, according to an Oswego Police report. The value of the items missing totaled less than $1,000, police said.

Retail theft

Freddy Marquez, 21, and Veronica Carranza, 22, both of Aurora, were charged with retail theft at about 9:45 p.m. April 18, at a store in the 2300 block of Route 34, according to Oswego Police. Both were given May 19 court dates.

Goose run over

An Oswego man ran collided with a goose at about 7:38 p.m. April 19 at Route 34 and Kendall Pointe, according to an Oswego Police report. The accident caused about $500 in damages to the man’s car, police said.

Garage shot

A resident in the 5000 block of Route 34 in Oswego Township reported someone shot at his detached garage sometime before noon April 19, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. The shotgun blast caused about $450 in damages to the garage, the report stated.

Trespassing

Nicole Plum, 40, of Montgomery, was charged with criminal trespass to land at about midnight April 19 at the Shell Station at 1600 Douglas Road, according to an Oswego Police report. No other information was available.
