Car Stolen in Oswego Home Invasion Recovered

Underage drinking

Zachary Fraser, 18, of 263 W. Washington St., Oswego was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 11:45 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 200 block of Willowood Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Rollover crash

A 29-year-old Montgomery woman fell asleep at the wheel at about 5:20 a.m. Aug. 2 at Route 71 and Douglas Street, crossing the center line and rolled her car into the ditch, according to Oswego Police. The woman and her passenger were not hospitalized, and she was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle, police said.

Domestic battery

Dora Washington, 45, of 203 Springbrook Trail, Oswego, was charged with domestic battery at about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at her home, Oswego Police said. She was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Alcohol theft

A 17-year-old Oswego girl was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and retail theft at about 9:15 p.m. July 31 at Walmart, Oswego Police said. She was released to the cutody of her parents.

Walmart theft

Oswego Police reported the theft of $1,700 in electronics from Walmart sometime before 7:20 p.m. July 31. 

Car break-ins

Oswego Police are investigating two car break-ins in the 400 block of Gloria Lane sometime before 6 a.m. July 29. A GPS device and charger cord were reported stolen. 

Car break-ins

Kendall County Sheriff’s Office are investigating several car break-ins on July 29.  Several items were taken from several vehicles on Circle Drive East, Pomeroy Road, Paddock Street and Hampton Road, the sheriff’s office said. 

Car recovered

Oswego Police reported the Audi Q7 reported stolen in an earlier home invasion on Hemlock Lane was recovered in Chicago on Monday, July 28. Accoridng to police, the vehicle had been parked on Cottage Grove Avenue in the city for about a week. The vehicle was returned to the victims.  

Dine and dash

Oswego Police responded to IHOP at about 12:15 a.m. July 29 for a report of four men who ate at the restaurant and then left without paying their $43 bill. 

Car window smashed, phone stolen

A resident in the 400 block of Gloria Lane reported someone smashed her car window and stole a phone from inside the car at about 1:30 a.m. July 29, Oswego Police said.Total damages are estimated at $350.

A resident in the 100 block of Cinderford Drive reported to Oswego Police that someone had smashed a car window sometime before 6:50 p.m. July 28. Damage is estimated at $500.

Pot in the park

Two 17-year-old Oswego juveniles and Ruben Gonzalez Jr. 18, of Aurora were charged with marijuana possession at about 11:35 p.m. July 27 at Townsend Park, 481 Devoe Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. One of the juveniles also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Power tools taken

A resident in the 100 block of Dolores St. reported about $500 in power tools taken from from the home sometime before 12:30 p.m. July 27, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
