Thousands in Cash Stolen from Safe: Police

Theft

Oswego Police are investigating a theft to a home in the 100 block of Oaklawn Avenue sometime before 5:15 p.m. Aug. 17. More than $15,000 in items were stolen from the home, police said.

Man exposes himself

Ebelio Ponce, 22, of 5 Marlin Drive in Oswego Township, was charged with disorderly conduct at about 7:50 p.m. Aug. 16 after allegedly exposing himself to a woman in the 100 block of Harbor Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. 

DUI

David Juris, 21, of Geneva, was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana at about 3 a.m. Aug. 16 at Washington and Monroe streets, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. 

Stolen lawn furniture

A resident in the 200 block of Paradise Parkway reported $300 worth of lawn furniture was stolen from his home sometime before 2:30 p.m. Aug. 15, according to an Oswego Police report.

Underage drinking

Four underage girls and six underage boys were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol at about 11 p.m. Aug. 14 after Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies received a call for a loud party in the 0-99 block of Marnel Road in Oswego Township.

Eight of the juveniles were also charged with obstructing a police officer for attempting to run from the scene, the sheriff’s office said.

Joshua Rojas, 18, and Jose Cardoza-Chavez, 19, both of the 0-99 block of Surrey Road, were also charged with underage drinking, the sheriff’s office said.

Domestic battery

Sylvia, Saldana, 49, of the 100 block of Circle Drive East, was charged with domestic battery at about 6:50 p.m. Aug. 13 at her home. Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies originally had responded to the scene for a 911 hang-up call. 

DUI

Manish Dixit, 46, of Plainfield, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and several other traffic violations after a stop at about 8:40 p.m. Aug. 13 at Harvey and Wolf roads, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Domestic battery

Heriberto Lara Munoz, 23, of 2866 Harvey Road, Oswego, was charged with domestic battery at about 6:30 p.m. Aug. 11 after an incident at Route 30 and Treasure Drive, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. 

Cash stolen

A resident in the 600 block of Otter Way reported to Oswego Police that $85,000 in cash had been stolen from a safe inside the home sometime before 1:48 p.m. Aug. 10. The incident is under investigation by Oswego Police. 

DUI

Rexford Plumley, 25, of Yorkville, was charged with DUI and a having a loud muffler at about 9 p.m. Aug. 10 at Ogden Falls Boulevard and Mandy Lane, according to an Oswego Police report.
