Family Dispute Leads to Several Charges: Police

Family dispute leads to arrests

Charles Wargo and Adam Wargo, both 19, of 80 Springdale Road, Oswego Township, were arrested for domestic battery, resisting arrest and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 12:15 a.m. March 15, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. Deputies were called to the home for a fight. When they arrived, they found the two fighting. During the fight another male family member was hit in the face, police said. Charles Wargo also was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly trying to hit a deputy, police said.

Domestic battery

Megan Knutson, 21, of Crown Point, Ind., was arrested for domestic battery at about 7:20 p.m. March 12, in the 600 block of Vista Drive, Oswego, according to an Oswego Police report. She was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Felony retail theft

Clayton Costello Jr., 33, of Aurora, was arrested for felony retail theft at about 4:20 p.m. March 12 at the Oswego Walmart. He is alleged to have stolen about $800 worth of merchandise, police said.

Unlawful use of a weapon

A 17-year-old Montgomery boy was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon and disorderly conduct at about 6:30 p.m. March 12 near Douglas Road and Route 34, according to an Oswego Police report. 

DUI, leaving the scene 

Samuel Chamberlan, 23, of 3 Creve Court, Oswego Township, was arrested for DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and illegal transportation of alcohol at about 3 p.m. March 11 in the 0-99 block of Scarsdale Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. Deputies were called to the scene for an accident and while they were en route, Chamberlain reportedly came back to the scene and crashed his car into the front yard of the residence, police said. He was later found in his own home, police said.

DUI

Angel Guzman, 39, of Aurora, was arrested for DUI at about 3 a.m. March 11 in the 500 block of Rance Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. Deputies were originally called to the area for a suspicious vehicle playing loud music.

Theft

Oswego Police are investigating a theft from the Orchard Road Jewel that occurred sometime before 2:10 p.m March 10. Police said about $1,480 worth of merchandise was stolen.

Domestic battery

Josue, Ortiz, 19, of 57 Circle Dive East, Oswego Township, was arrested for domestic battery, criminal damage to property and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor at about midnight March 10 at his home after allegedly hitting a male family member and damaging property in the home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report.

Possession with intent to deliver

Vivian Aguilar, 23, of Aurora, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver at about 4 p.m. March 8 in the 1600 block of Route 25, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. She was originally pulled over for having an expired registration, police said.
