Man Stiffed on $4,000 Internet Car Deal

Fleeing the scene
Mario Perea, 71, of Naperville, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and DUI at about 6:40 p.m. Feb. 24 in Yorkville, according to police reports. Perea was involved in an accident at Route 71 and Orchard Road, police said, and left the scene. He was later picked up in Yorkville, police said
Oswego Police took a report of someone trying to break in to a garage by kicking in its door sometime between Feb. 21 and 24 in the 400 block of Blue Ridge Drive. There are no suspects in the case, police said.
Man cut in fight
Kendall County Sheriff’s Police are investigating a fight that broke out in the 0-99 block of Saugatuck Road at about 4 a.m. Feb. 23. One of the victims in the fight suffered deep lacerations from a beer bottle, according to a sheriff’s report.
$4K gone after bad internet deal
An Oswego Township man was the victim of a fraud in which he paid $4,000 for a car that he never received. The victim, who lives in the 100 block of Marnel Road, agreed over the internet to pay for the car with money grams sent to Nebraska. After paying for the car the victim never received it, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s report.
Domestic battery arrest
Randy Henning, 38, of the 0-100 block of Dolphin Court in Oswego Township, was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault at about 10 p.m. Feb. 21 in his home, according to Kendall County Sheriff’s reports. During the investigation it was revealed Henning struck a family member, the report said. Henning also allegedly struck a sheriff’s deputy.
