A school bus driver was at fault for an accident at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Douglas and Wolf roads, according to a release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Joshua Szumny, 26, of Westmont, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident with a bus full of students that ran into the back of another vehicle at the intersection. The sheriff’s office said the accident occurred when Szumny became distracted.

None of the students on the bus were injured and the driver of the car refused medical attention despite minor injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
