John Greene Realtor Goes Green with Oswego Office Remodel

It’s not uncommon for a real estate company to invest in the communities it serves. john greene Realtor has a rich history of investing time and energy in the Western Suburbs, helping to grow towns like Naperville and Oswego to what they are today.
After 15 years in the Ogden Avenue location, john greene Realtor’s Oswego office recently underwent a major remodeling that included adding sleek finishes, high tech components and a coffee bar. These new amenities were unveiled last Thursday, March 6 at an Open House attended by leaders of Oswego’s business community, including Chamber President, Angie Hibben and Oswego Rotary Club co-Presidents, Brian Caldwell and Michelle Brown.
“Office spaces with the conveniences modern families have come to expect helps satisfy our goal to assist our agents and clients in any way possible,” describes Oswego General Manager, Scott Parker. “What makes this office even more special is that it is now host to a piece of local history.”
When he was working with designers to remodel the office, jgR President Tim Greene learned that a local woodworker, a third generation local business owner was using reclaimed barn wood from a nearby dairy barn that dates back to 1870. He commissioned two 10 foot tables to be built and serve as a unique focal point of the office design, not just because of the wood’s beauty, but because it was a perfect way for the Greene name to truly be “green.”
“This vintage-meets-cutting edge design matches the attitude all of the company’s agents bring to their work,” says jgR President, Tim Greene. “We have a ‘We’re different. On purpose’ attitude and the Oswego office now reflects that,” he adds.
