Route 30 Crash Injures Three, Closes Road

Two people from Aurora were injured in an accident near Route 30 and Harvey Road at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oswego Police said.
Johnson Naidoo, 56, was driving a 1993 Mazda Miata traveling west on Route 30 and lost control of the vehicle and entered into the eastbound lane. Johnson hit a 2008 GMC Acadia driven by Rachel Chacon, 26.
Johnson was taken to to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, and Chacon was transported to Edwards Hospital in Naperville. An 8-year-old child in Chacon's car also was injured and transported to the hospital for care.
The crash closed Route 30 between Route 34 and Treasure Drive for a few hours as police worked to reconstruct the accident, Oswego Police said.
The crash is still under investigation, but there is no indication that impaired driving a cause of the accident, police said.
