71-Year-Old Man Hospitalized in Baseball Bat Beating

Richard Gonzalez 41, of Oswego, has been charged with aggravated battery and battery after allegedly beating a 71-year-old Oswego man with a baseball bat, according to Oswego Police.

The incident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Friday at the man's home in 100 block of W. Benton Street, police said. 

The man was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for his injuries, police reported. Gonzalez was taken to the Kendall County Jail. 

No other information about the incident was available Saturday evening.
