Weekend 5K to Impact Village Streets

Celebrate Differences would like to inform the public that on Sunday, April 27th, 2014, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Franklin Street in Oswego, will be closed from Garfield Street to Washington Street. The closure is for our Steps Toward A Brighter Future 5K Run/Walk that will take place on this date. 

The running course (5K) for this event will also cover several residential roadways in the downtown Oswego area including Tyler, Madison St., Wilson Place, Hickory, Judson St., Douglas St., Main St, S Adams St, W. Van Buren St, Monroe St, W. Jefferson and Garfield.  Franklin street will close at 6 a.m.and the race begins at 9a.m., however all other streets will remain open.

Celebrate Differences volunteers will be at several locations assisting the motoring public and participants; and are asking for your patience while this event takes place. Alert and courteous drivers will provide safety for the participants as well as the volunteers of this event.
