Dumpster Set on Fire, Playground Damaged at Elementary School

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a case of vandalism at Long Beach Elementary School that took place Tuesday night. 

Deputies were called to the school at 67 Long Beach Road at about 8 p.m. for a report of an arson. According to a sheriff's office report, a Dumpster near the school had been set on fire. Oswego Fire Protection District firefighters doused the flames, and no damage was done to the school, said Sheriff's Deputy Brian Harl.

During the investigation, deputies also discovered a piece of equipment that had been ripped from the playground. 

The sheriff's office currently has no suspects in the case, the report said.
