Route 31 Fire Under Investigation

The fire, which began on the home's second floor, was called in at about 4:47 p.m. and was put out at about 5:12 p.m., according to a release from the Oswego Fire Protection District. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The residents were home at the time, but were uninjured. One firefighter was transported to Rush-Copley Medical Center for treatment for heat exhaustion, the release said.
The Oswego Fire Protection District was assisted by Bristol-Kendall Fire Department, Montgomery Fire Department and Plainfield Fire Department.
