A Hanover Park man has been charged with driving under the influence and failure to yield after a two-car accident at Route 30 and Wolf Road at about 9 p.m. Friday.

Scott Jackson, 41, crashed into a vehicle carrying a 20-year-old Wheaton man and an 18-year-old Plainfield woman, according to Oswego Police.

Jackson was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center with injuries. The Wheaton man was also taken to Rush-Copley, and the Plainfield woman was taken by emergency medical helicopter to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. A report on their conditions was not available Saturday morning.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident slammed into a utility pole at the intersection, causing temporary power outage to about 2,000 Comed customers. Power was restored to most customers within a few hours, police said.
