Severe Weather Could Hit Oswego Tuesday Evening

Strong storms are predicted for Kendall County and the Oswego area early Tuesday evening and into Wednesday, according to a weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service. 

According to the NWS, scattered thunderstorms could bring large hail, high winds, flash flooding and a slight risk of a tornado starting at about 6 p.m. Tuesday. The severe weather threat lasts until about 1 a.m. Wednesday with storms diminishing overnight.

A flood advisory is also in effect for the Fox River, which currently sits at 12.6 feet at Montgomery. Flood state is 13 feet, and the river is expected to hit 12.9 feet on Wednesday, the NWS said.
