Flood stage for the Fox River at Montgomery is 13 feet, and action stage is 12.5 feet. As of 12:45 a.m. Thursday the river level was 12.3 feet.
A severe thunderstorm Wednesday night dumped as much as an inch of rain on parts of the area. Up to 60 mph winds clocked in Kendall County toppled trees and caused pockets of power outages across Oswego. Several lightning strikes were also reported, including a power pole that caught fire after a strike at Route 71 and Douglas Street.
The stormy weather isn't over yet, as forecasters are calling for a 60 percent chance of more heavy rain Thursday evening. The NWS is also warning of isolated flash flooding.
