Maybe it's not a food truck, but it's the next best thing.

Somonauk-based BBQ Express, known locally for its famous pork chop on a stick, is set this week to open its carry-out food trailer in the The Garden Faire lot at 5 S. Madison Street in downtown Oswego.

John Zidlicky, Garden Faire owner, said a final inspection on the trailer is due Friday morning, and the wagon could be open later that day.

"I live outside of the box, but most of the credit goes to Rick Jacobsen," Zidlicky said. "He put us together. From what I understand they have a huge following."

Hours will be limited to lunch-time at first, but Zidlicky said he hopes the venture is successful enough for longer hours. The lunch-time menu will consist of burgers, hot dogs pork chops and soda.
