Boy Riding Bike Struck by Car: Police

A 9-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a car while riding his bike Saturday night in Oswego Township.

According to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report, the boy was riding his bike near Anchor Drive and Dolfphin Court at about 7:35 p.m. when he was struck by a car driven by Autumn Smith, 30, of the 100 block of Anchor Drive.

The boy was taken by ambulance to Rush-Copley Medical Center for what the sheriff’s office said was non-life threatening injuries. 

Smith was charged with driving a vehicle with suspended registration. She was taken into custody and transported to Kendall County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
