Three people, including a 4-year-old boy, were hospitalized at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday after an ATV accident at Hide-A-Way Lakes campground in Oswego Township.

According to the Kendall County Sheriff's office, the boy, who lives in Oak Lawn, was a passenger on an ATV driven by a 49-year-old Yorkville woman.

The boy reportedly grabbed the throttle of the ATV, causing the woman to lose control. The ATV struck a nearby picnic bench, injuring a 65-year-old Joliet man. The ATV then flipped over into a nearby creek.

All three were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora for what the sheriff's office said were minor injuries.

No tickets have been issued in the accident.
