"The victims of this home invasion continue to be uncooperative by refusing to be interviewed by our department," the statement reads. "Evidence Technicians and Detectives recovered a loaded handgun at the scene and we are working to find the owner of the gun.

Oswego Police are searching for four armed African American men that broke into a home on Hemlock Lane in Ashcroft Place at about 6 a.m. Tuesday.

According to Chief Dwight Baird, the masked men broke into the home and encountered a 40-year-old woman and five men ranging in age from 17 to 21. Two of the residents were beaten with the handguns and refused transport to the hospital.

In addition to a recently purchased white Audi Q7, the men got away with the cell phones of the residents. Baird said the vehicle has a license plate number of V701752

"We believe this is an isolated incident," Baird said. "The men have left the area."

Baird also said reports of the residents being tied up or put into a closet are not true.

"The investigation is ongoing, and we're about ready to start processing the crime scene," Baird said.
