Sheriff Warning About Illegal Boulder Hill Parking

Jul 24, 2014 09:06PM ● Published by Steven Jack

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has received complaints from concerned citizens regarding vehicles parked in an unsafe and illegal manner in the Boulder Hill Subdivision.

Under Illinois state law, it is unlawful to park a vehicle on the sidewalk, with the left wheels to the curb, or blocking a driveway.  Doing so poses a serious safety risk, especially with the large number of children outside during summer vacation.

When it is appropriate, deputies will issue warnings to the offender, however if the vehicle is not removed, a ticket will be issued with a minimum $120 fine. The vehicle may also be towed at the owner’s expense.

Any questions can be directed to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office at (630) 553-7500, Ext. 1132.
