Man Charged for Doing 70 mph at Plainfield and Grove: Police

Excessive speeding

Dallas Carlson, 18, of Oswego, was charged with speeding 35 mph or more over the speed limit at about 7:20 p.m. Aug. 8, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Carlson was clocked going 71 mph in 35 mph zone near Plainfield and Grove roads, the sheriff’s office said.

Pot possession

Amber Coe, 26, of 10 Cayman Court, was charged with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession at about 8:20 a.m. Aug. 8 near her home, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s deputies had been called to the area for a well-being check for someone sleeping their car.

Aggravated battery

Alex Papp, 28, of 27 S. Adams Street, Oswego was charged with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct at about 5:20 p.m. Aug. 5 after he allegedly exited a vehicle he was a passenger in and hit a passenger in another vehicle, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. The incident occurred at Boulder Hill Pass and Route 25.

Retail theft

Oswego Police are investigating the theft of 6 Xbox remote controls and a suitcase from Walmart at about 5:30 a.m. Aug. 4. The value of the items is about $428.

DUI

Mariah, Moreno, 22, of Aurora, was charged with DUI at about 4 a.m. Aug. 3 near Fernwood and Pembrooke, the Kendall County Sheriff’s office said. She was originally pulled over for running a stop sign, police said.

Click it or Ticket violations

Oswego Police issued 45 seat belt violations and several other tickets and made 1 DUI arrest during a Click it or Ticket initiative from July 18 to 26. The extra seat belt enforcement is made possible through grants from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
