Sex Offender Arrested After Minor Traffic Crash

A man on the state’s registered sex offender list was arrested at about 5 p.m. Thursday by Oswego Police after a minor traffic crash near Ogden Falls Boulevard and Route 34.
Thomas Wrzala, 44, was listed as homeless by police, but had reportedly been living in Aurora. He was charged with felony violation of sex offender registration for failure to notify authorities of a change of address.
According to the Illinois State Police registry, Wrzala, is classified as a sexual predator who had been convicted of two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The victim was 14 years old and Wrzala was 32 at the time of the arrest.
He was last known to be living in Elmwood Park, according to the registry.
Wrzala was taken to the Kendall County Jail.
