Fourteen Oswego children ages 1 to 7 read 12,120 minutes in a seven-week reading challenge this summer. They celebrated with a party at the Oswego Culver's Saturday.

The children collected pledges from friends and family for their efforts and received a 100 percent match in brand new books from Usborne Books & More. Prizes were also awarded to those that met reading goals.

Usborne is matching the pledge amount at 25 percent with $400 worth of books and matching plushies that will be donated to the Fisher House for Veteran Families.
