Overnight work will begin near the west entrance to Oswego High School on Friday.

If you live near Oswego High School, some sleep-deprived nights might be in your future.

The village of Oswego announced via its Facebook page Wednesday that IDOT contractors will begin overnight construction near OHS beginning Friday, Aug. 22.

This will work will take place from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and will consist of rock excavation that may cause excessive noise.

The overnight work will last about one week, depending on the weather, the village said.

"This work is being done at night so as to not impact the students and buses entering and leaving school," the village announcement said.
