Kendall County Sheriff’s Office recently received a report from an individual who said that an Officer Neal Johnson of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office had called requesting a credit card number or a wire transfer for outstanding charges with failure to pay resulting in arrest.
The phone number listed on the caller ID was displaying a false phone number for the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office reminded residents that deputies or employees of the Sheriff’s Office will never call requesting money. If citizens have received a similar call, they are urged to contact their local Police agency, and to file an online report with the Federal Trade Commission at http://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov.
