The 2014 Prairie Point Elementary Panther Fitness Challenge was a huge success!
After two weeks of collecting donations, our students and staff participated in the Challenge on Friday, October 3rd. They rocked the course and completed over 25 fitness challenges!! Payton the Panther cheered the kids on and at the end of the day, we held our Spirit Assembly.
We reached our goal, set by Dr. Podjasek, of having 75 percent of the packets turned in, proving that working together, we can accomplish so much. The students will be treated to an assembly from BMX Champion and America's Got Talent semi-finalist Matt Wilhelm later in October.
We are so excited to share the amount of donations the students raised for Prairie Point: $18,408.05!! 100 percent of all monies raised come back to Prairie Point!! The students did an AMAZING job and should be so proud of their hard work.
We would like to thank the students, families, sponsors, volunteers and staff for their help in making the Panther Fitness Challenge a HUGE SUCCESS!! Great job, Panthers!! Fundraising prizes were awarded to the following students; Ian King, Dylan Mateja, Ella & Ethan Schrader, Maya Hornik, Tristan Kerback, Connor Franke and GabrielBavone. The top participating class was Mrs. Holman’s 2nd grade class. Thirty Raffle prizes were also given out to students.
Our event could not have been possible without our generous sponsors: HQC, Inc., Fine Line Services, Inc. West of the Moon ATA Martial Arts, Janna Misek, State Farm, Carol Guist, Baird & Warner, Boulder Hill Dental and More Than Core Pilates Studio. We would also like to thank the local businesses that donated to our raffle prizes: Bouncetown, Aurora State Center, Parkside Lanes, Kendall 10, Yorkville Bowling Lanes, NCG Cinema, Culvers and Jersey Mikes.
