The beautiful weather at this year's PrairieFest seems like a distant dream.

But memories of this year's fest will be back this week as The Cooking Channel television show that filmed in town will air at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20.

Carnival Eats filmed on Thursday and Friday of this year's fest, focusing on the unique carnival foods available. This show is compared to Food Network favorite Diners, Drive-ins and Dives in that host Noah Cappe spends time helping vendors prepare their signature dishes

To celebrate the debut of the PrairieFest episode of Carnival Eats, the Oswegoland Park District is hosting a viewing party at Tap House Grill Thursday night complete with red carpet arrivals.

The Cooking Channel is available in Oswego on the following cable system channels:
  • Comcast Xfinity — 124
  • Dish Network — 113
  • Direct TV — 232
  • AT&T Uverse — 456
