Christmas lights damaged
A resident in the 500 block of Litchfield Way reported two extension cords and one set of Christmas light were damaged at the home sometime before 7:30 a.m. Dec. 7, according to an Oswego Police report. Damage is estimated at $50.
Oswego Police are investigating the theft of a purse sometime before 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Oswego East High School. The purse was valued at about $50.
Oswego Police responded to a report of a theft of a wooden reindeer at about 1:50 p.m. Dec. 6 in the 400 block of Bower Lane. The reindeer has an estimated value of $50.
Oswego Police responded to a call at about 9 a.m. Dec. 6 in the 3000 block of Wolf Road from a resident who said the bumper of her car had been spray-painted orange.
Oswego East marijuana arrest
A 16-year-old girl was charged with possession of marijuana at about 2:15 p.m Dec. 5 at Oswego East High School.
Andrew Zgobica, 41, of 268 Isleview Drive, was charged with two counts of domestic battery at about 8:15 p.m. Dec. 4, according to an Oswego Police report. He was taken into custody and detained at the Kendall County Jail.
Wayne Smith, 25, of Light Road in Oswego Township, was charged with domestic battery at about 8:30 a.m. Dec. 4 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. He’s alleged to have pulled the hair and hit a household member, the sheriff’s office said.
Theft to vehicle
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary from a car at about 10:50 a.m. Dec. 3 in the 100 block of Augusta Road. Missing from the vehicle was a GPS unit, flashlight and keys, the sheriff’s office said.
Kristian Allen, 21, who is listed as homeless, was charged with disorderly conduct at about 9:30 a.m. Dec. 3 in the 100 block of Washington Street, according to an Oswego Police report.
Oswego Police are investigating the theft of a wallet from a home in the 100 block of Amherst Circle sometime before 1:30 p.m Dec. 1. According to police, unauthorized teens entered the home, consumed alcohol and stole the wallet.
Police announce dozens of violations
As a result of an Oswego Police Click it or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign from Nov. 17 to 30 police handed out over 90 violations to drivers. Those violations include:
- 10 seat belt citations
- 2 suspended/revoked license
- 3 uninsured motorists
- 45 speeding violations
- 35 cell phone violations
