Oswego Police: Drunken Driver Traveling 35 mph Over Speed Limit

DUI, speeding

Jordan Wilson, 20, of Plano, was charged with DUI, speeding 35 mph over the limit and consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 3 a.m. Dec. 28 near Route 34 and Douglas Road, according to an Oswego Police report. 

DUI

Carolina Hernandez, 33, of Joliet, was charged with DUI, obstructing identification and no valid drivers license at about 3 am. Dec. 27 in the 2800 block of Route 34, according to an Oswego Police report.

Ulta victimized again

An employee of the Oswego Ulta store reported more than $500 worth of merchandise stolen from the store sometime before 6:12 p.m. Dec. 26. The suspect is identified as a Hispanic female about 5-feet, 3-inches tall, 130 pounds with straight brown hair with red-colored ends, according to Oswego Police.

Retail theft

Haydee Cardona, 34, of Montgomery, was charged with retail theft at about 6:40 p.m. Dec. 26 at the Oswego Kohl’s store. She is alleged to have stolen about $516 in merchandise.

Stolen car recovered

A 2004 GMC Yukon that had been stolen from a home in the 900 block of Route 31 somtime before 2 a.m. Dec. 24 was later recovered in Aurora Township, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. 

Welding equipment stolen 

Oswego Police are investigating the theft of a welding machine and two metal tanks valued at about $2,4000 that occurred sometime before 1:20 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 300 block of Washington Street.

Burglary

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a theft that occurred sometime before 7 a.m. Dec. 22 at a business located in the 2000 block of Route 34. According to the sheriff’s office, several thousands of dollars in cash and tools were taken.

Burglary to a vehicle

A resident in the 400 block of Grapevine Trail reported someone broke into her car sometime before 11:15 a.m. Dec. 22 while it was parked in the 500 block of Half Hollow Court. Missing items had a total value of about $194.
