Man Charged with DUI After Drunkeness at Route 30 Book Store: Police

A 16-year-old boy was cited for a curfew violation at about 2:50 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 0-99 block of Circle Drive West, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.
Shane Petterson, 39, of Aurora, was charged with DUI at about 12:40 a.m. Jan. 3 at the Lover’s Playground bookstore on Route 30, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies were called to the business for a report of an intoxicated person.
Teens in graveyard
Four girls, ages 15 and 16, were charged with curfew violation and one was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and another with no valid drivers license after they were caught parked in the Au Sable Cemetery at about midnight Dec. 28, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.
Andres Gross, 31, of 31, Greenbrier Road, Oswego Township, was charged with domestic battery at about 3:45 a.m. Dec. 29 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. He was also charged with the interfereing of the reporting of a domestic battery, the sheriff’s office said.
Residents of the 0-99 block of Chatham Place, Oswego Township, reported a burglary to their home that occurred sometime before 8:45 p.m. Dec. 30, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office said. No other information was made available regarding the burglary.
Carl Bodnar, 70, of Bristol, was charged with criminal trespass at about 3 p.m. Dec. 31 at a business in the 8200 block of Route 30, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.
Lauren Casterjon, 22, of Montgomery, was charged with marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license at about 9:40 p.m. Dec. 31 near Douglas and Long Beach roads, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. She was originally stopped for speeding, the sheriff’s office said.
A resident in the 0-99 block of Wilson Place reported to police that someone broke into his attached garage and entered an unlocked vehicle sometime before 7:40 a.m. Jan. 3. according to an Oswego Police report. No value was put on damages of loss.
Oswego Police took a report for a stolen vehicle from a resident in the 100 block of 100 Locust Street at about 7:40 a.m. Jan. 3. Another vehicle in the same location also was broken into sometime before then, as well, police said.
Equipment theft at restaurant
Oswego Police responded to Chik-fil-A at about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 2 for a report of stolen equipment. According to police, the equipment was valued at about $760. There are no suspects in the case.
Fight between friends ends with no charges
A woman in the 500 block of Rosebush Lane, Oswego, called Oswego Police at about 1:135 a.m. Jan. 1 to report that a battery had taken place in the home. According to police, when they arrived the woman did not wish to press charges against her friend who had allegedly hit her.
Wallet, phone stole from YMCA
Oswego Police took a report for a stolen wallet and iPhone at about 9 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Oswego YMCA. The items were valued at about $260, police said.
Nicole Plum, 41, of Montgomery, was charged with criminal trespass at about 8 p.m. Dec. 28 near Route 30 and Douglas Road, according to an Oswego Police report.
