Oswego Man Clocked Driving 121 MPH: Police

Domestic battery

Yasmin Alonso, 22, of Aurora was charged with domestic battery at about 1 a.m. Jan. 24 at 1776 Route 30, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies were called to the scene for a report of someone with a gun. Reports of a gun were later found to be untrue, the sheriff’s office said.

Rock through window

A resident in the 400 block of Fawn Drive reported someone through a rock through a car window sometime before 9 a.m. Jan. 24, according to an Oswego Police report. 

DUI

Matthew Andersen, 47, of Montgomery, was charged with DUI at about 7:40 p.m. Jan. 24 near Orchard Road and Lewis Street, according to an Oswego Police report.

Domestic battery

Timothy Jensen, 50, of 32 Springdale Road, Oswego Township, was charged with domestic battery at about 12:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Jensen allegedly pushed a male family member, the sheriff’s office said.

DUI

Adam Verhaeghe, 31, of 2002 Farmington Lakes Drive, was charged with DUI and obstructing a police officer at about 1:40 a.m. Jan. 22 at Route 34 and Douglas Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Verhaeghe was originally stopped for speeding and not dimming his lights, the sheriff’s office said.

Cell phone stolen

A Plano man reported his phone was stolen from his car while it was parked at Holmes Auto Repair sometime before 6:10 p.m. Jan. 22, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Domestic battery

Alexander Gabris, 23, of the 100 block of Chesterfield, was charged with two counts of domestic battery at about 4 a.m. Jan. 22, at his home, according to an Oswego Police report. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail. 

Disorderly conduct

A 13-year-old Montgomery boy was charged with disorderly conduct at about noon Jan. 22 at Traughber Junior High, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Domestic battery

Rebecca Schaeflein, 22, of 115 Harbor Drive, was charged with domestic battery at about 10 a.m. Jan. 20 at her home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. She was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Burglary

Residents in the 0-99 block of Boat Lane reported a residential burglary occurred sometime before 3:20 p.m. Jan. 20, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. The victims reported electronics and money were stolen.

Marijuana possession

A 17-year-old Oswego East High School student was charged with possession of marijuana at about 7:40 a.m. Jan. 20 at the school, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Battery

A 15-year-old Oswego East High School student was charged with battery at about 8 p.m. Jan. 20 at the school, according to an Oswego Police report. The student is alleged to have kicked and punched another student, police said.

DUI

Amanda Dean, 24, of the 3000 block of Wolf Road, was charged with DUI at about 1:40 a.m. Jan. 19 near Route 34 and Fifth Street, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. She was originally stopped for speeding, the sheriff’s office said.

Excessive speeding

Jacob Gentry, 19, of 490 Waubonsee Circle, was charged with speeding more than 40 mph over the legal limit at about 1:20 p.m. Jan 19 near Grove and Caton Farm roads, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Gentry was stopped for traveling 121 mph in a 55 mph zone, the sheriff’s office said.
