Pedestrian Hospitalized After Early Morning Accident

A 46-year-old Montgomery woman was hospitalized Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Route 30 and Horseman Trail.
At about 6:30 a.m. police say the woman walked into traffic on westbound Route 30 when she was hit by a motorist. She was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for her injuries, police said.
The accident tied up traffic in the area for more than an hour during rush hour as emergency crews responded to the scene.
No tickets have been issued, but Montgomery Police are asking witnesses to call 630-897-8707, Ext. 3300.
