Oswego Could Get Blast of Winter This Weekend

Break out the shovels and dust off the snow-blower, the Oswego area could receive as much as 6 to 10 inches of snow over the weekend.

According to a winter storm warning bulletin from the National Weather Service, snow should begin falling in the area after 5 p.m. Saturday with 3 to 5 inches possible. Another 3 to 5 inches is forecast for Sunday. Chance of precipitation both days is 90 percent. 

Blustery conditions will persist Sunday with wind gusts of up to 30 mph, the NWS says.  

Snow will taper off by Monday, but cold temperatures are set to return with only a high of 16 degrees forecast. The low Monday night will be about 7 degrees.
