Woman Hospitalized After Sunday Night Head-On Crash

Head-on collision 

A two-car, head-on collision at Wolf Road and Fifth Street Sunday night sent one woman to the hospital. According to Oswego Police, a 42-year-old Roselle woman collided with a car driven by a 17-year-old Plainfield girl at about 7:35 p.m. The woman was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center. No tickets were issued, police said.  

Domestic battery

Thomas Freeman, 45, of 618 Pimlico St., was charged with domestic battery at about 6:05 p.m. Feb. 1 at his home, according to an Oswego Police report. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail, police said.

John Kaufman, 48, 0-99 block of Durango Road, Oswego Township, was charged with domestic battery at about 5:40 p.m. Jan. 30 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. 

Battery at junior high

A 14-year-old Plank Junior High student was charged with battery at about 8:20 a.m. Jan. 30 at the school, according to an Oswego Police report. Chief Jeff Burgner said the juvenile made contact with a staff member. 

Road rage

An 18-year-old Oswego man was the victim of road rage at about 7:10 p.m. Jan 29, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. The incident occurred at Stuart and Woolley Road. 

Residential burglary

A resident in the 6000 block of Reservation Road reported to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office that someone broke into their home sometime before 7:10 p.m. Jan. 29. Jewelry and electronic items were missing from the home, the sheriff’s office said. 

Domestic battery

Kendall Teague, 28, 312 Wilshire Drive, was charged with domestic battery at about 8 a.m. Jan. 28 in the 100 block of Harbor Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Teague is alleged to have battered her estranged husband and a minor, the sheriff’s office said.

Marijuana possession

Jacob Paxton, 18, of 18 Wyndam Drive, Oswego Township, was charged with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession at about 4:20 Jan. 28 in the 0-99 block of Rocky Way, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.

Baby formula theft

Oswego Police are investigating the theft of about $675 in baby formula from Walmart sometime before 12:30 p.m. Jan. 26. Police do have suspects in the case.

Cash stolen

Oswego Police are investigating the theft of $1,200 cash form a home 400 block of Arboretum Way sometime before 5:20 p.m. Jan. 26. Police did not list any suspects in the case.

Theft

Oswego Police are investigating the theft of $3,500 of construction equipment and a laptop computer from a job site in the 2800 block of Route 34 sometime before Jan. 26. There are no suspects in the case.

DUI

Phillip Newcomb, 21, of 90 Seton Creek, Oswego, was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at bout 9:50 a.m. Jan. 25, according to an Oswego Police report. Newcomb was involved in a two car-accident police said.

Domestic battery

Christopher McClendon, 44 of 34 Afton Drive, Oswego Township was charged with domestic battery at about 5:35 p.m. Jan. 24, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. He is alleged to have made contact with a family member in an insulting manner.
