The Oswego community came together on Saturday to Rally Round the Robinsons at A Slice of Charity, a fundraiser and pizza competition. The winners of that competition were as follows:

  • Best Pepperoni - Firehouse Pizza & Pub
  • Best Sausage – Fatty’s Pizza
  • Best Specialty – Tony Weeds Pizza
  • People’s Choice Award – Fatty’s Pizza
The winners of the categories of Best Pepperoni, Best Sausage and Best Specialty were determined by a panel of “celebrity judges”, including Traughber Junior High principal Tarah Fowler, Prairie Point School principal Dr. Heidi Podjasek, Oswego High School varsity basketball coach Matt Borrowman, and Only Oswego publisher Steven Jack.

Also on the judging panel were representatives from event sponsors Fine Line Services and Old Second Bank, as well as the event’s guest of honor, Connor Robinson.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award was determined by votes submitted by the general public in attendance.

The event was organized and hosted by the Oswego Junior Woman’s Club. Proceeds from the event will benefit Rally Round the Robinsons, a community fund for the Robinson family.
