The Thompson Junior High Robotics Team participated in the Robotics Extravaganza held on Saturday, Feb. 14.  The Extravaganza was hosted by School District 308’s Team #2338 Gear it Forward, who invited local high school FIRST robotic teams to scrimmage.

Thompson Junior High Robotics Team
demonstrated their FIRST Lego League (FLL) competition robot to local children and dignitaries.  The robot, “Legotron”, was programmed by the students to perform specific missions for the competition held in December for the 2014 FLL World Class Challenge.   Through the FLL program, students learn programming, problem solving, research, and presentation skills.
