Driver Arrested for DUI After Found Asleep in Car: Police

Pot possession

Zane Marchiando, 18, of Plainfield was arrested for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession at about 9:20 p.m. Feb. 27 at Circle Drive East and Long Beach Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. 

DUI

Latrice Thornton, 24, of Bellwood, was arrested for DUI at about 1 a.m. Feb. 25 at Lincoln Station Drive and Proclamation Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. She was pulled over after being witnesses driving through the wrong lane of traffic, the sheriff’s office said.

Retail theft

Sara Ballis, 19, of Montgomery, was arrested for felony retail theft at about midnight Feb. 24 at Oswego Walmart, according to an Oswego Police report. She is alleged to have stolen about $500 worth of merchandise, and was taken to the Kendall County Jail. 

DUI, pot possession

Amber Coe, 26, of 10 Cayman Drive, in Oswego Township, was charged with DUI, marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession at about 3 a.m. Feb. 22 at Circle Drive West and Boulder Hill Pass, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies were called to the scene for a report of Coe’s car being parked at a stop sign for over 30 minutes, the sheriff’s office said. Coe was found asleep in her car.

Retail theft

Keith Lyda, 51, of Aurora, was arrested for felony retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 4 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Oswego Walmart, according to an Oswego Police report. He was taken to the Kendall County Jail.

Obstructing police

Brian Erickson, 32, of the 0-99 block of Monroe St., was arrested for obstructing a police officer at about 10:45 p.m. Feb. 16 at his home, according to an Oswego Police report.
