The Oswegoland Park & Recreation Foundation would like to thank all of the residents that attended our Dog Park Open House on Feb. 24.

We were excited to give attendees the first look at our detailed plans for Fido Field at Jaycee Park.  We also would like to thank our local canine business leaders who supported the open house: Dr. Judy McBeth of Fox Ridge Veterinary Services,  Evan Mandrek of Pet Supplies Plus of Montgomery, Evan Kremitzki of Pet Supplies Plus of Yorkville, Katherine Manola of Go Dog Go, and Kandra Witkowski of The Pooper Scoopers.

We also would like to thank Pearce’s at Fox Bend Golf Course for hosting the event.

As we move forward with fundraising for “Fido Field at Jaycee Park,” volunteers are going to be so important.  We thank those who signed up to be “Fido Ambassadors” to help with our three committees:  fundraising, communications, and events and hospitality.

Even though the Park & Rec Foundation is spearheading this project, it will take the community to come together to reach our goal for Oswego’s first off-leash dog park.  If anyone in the community would like to get involved in this project, please contact the Park & Rec Foundation at
