Letter: McCarthy-Lange Has Clear Goals for Positive Growth

I am writing on behalf of Karin McCarthy-Lange who is running for Oswego Village Trustee.

I met Karin roughly 9 years ago, through several different neighborhood and school activities. Over the last two years I’ve gotten to know Karin even more as she has taken an active role in my charitable fundraising activities that raise money for local families in need.

It was during this time that it became clear how invested she is in our town and community.  She has clear goals in helping Oswego take positive steps in its growth.  Whether it’s developing sound programs to attract businesses to fill vacant retail spaces in town, to balancing additional sales tax revenues to help reduce the increasingly suffocating property tax burden most of us face.

Karin is also a strong supporter of revitalizing our downtown.  For too long our downtown has lagged behind other neighboring areas.  We have a tremendous natural resource with the Fox River running through the heart of town and not enough has been done to take advantage of it.

The more I have gotten to know Karin over the past several years, and watching the active role she has taken while our neighborhood, her family, and our Village have grown, the more confidence I have that she is the clear choice to be one of our Village Trustee.  I ask that you also place your faith in her and make sure to vote for her April 7th.
