Letter: Banks is a Man of Compassion, Integrity, Intelligence

As we move closer to elections on April 7th, I spend much time thinking of issues that affect our children and School District 308--issues that seem to be compounding recently due to a politically driven school board and administration.

I do not know a better man to represent our children on the SD308 school board than Brad Banks.  I have had the opportunity to get to know Brad personally though school events, run club, sports our boys share and long business conversations, as we are in similar roles.  He is a man of compassion, integrity and intelligence.

We have had long conversations about best practices in business and how best practices should be used in our schools.  He shares the concern of other parents as he has the opportunity to meet others throughout the district:  concerns about our curriculum, our inability to keep excellent administrators and teachers, our ability to protect and teach our most vulnerable students (such as special education and ell) in proven ways that provide the best opportunities to succeed.

He humbly knows that he does not have all the answers, but he has the drive to learn, to dig in, to ask the tough questions, to seek the appropriate resources and experts and to hold our top administrators accountable instead of blindly following their recommendations.

Brad is a great role model who will make a difference, for his children, for mine, for yours.

Please join me in voting for Brad Banks for 308 School Board.
