Letter: McCarthy-Lange Will Work to Attract Commercial and Retail Developers

Karin McCarthy-Lange has my vote for village trustee, and I hope she’ll have yours, on April 7th.

I met Karin through the Fox Valley Adoption Group she founded, nine years ago.  Karin worked in corporate America for 16 years and has also worked for eight years as an entrepreneur.  Karin has served her community in the past as Home Owner’s Association President, Home and School Vice President and President, and Cultural Arts Commissioner for Oswego.

Karin is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and has volunteered for numerous school committees.  Economic Development will be Karin’s priority.  Eighty percent of Oswego’s tax base comes from residents, and only twenty percent from business and industry.

Karin’s goal is to work with commercial and retail developers to attract a mixture of retail, professional, and other types of businesses to Oswego.  This would increase the tax base from business and industry, and decrease the tax burden residents face.

Join me in voting for Karin McCarthy-Lange for village trustee on April 7th.
