Oswego's own cycling Paralympic Gold Medal winner Joe Berenyi can now add another title to his list of accomplishments.

Berenyi was crowned World Champion Thursday in the C3 Kilo at the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Appeldoorn, the Netherlands. The win means Berenyi has earned the coveted striped jersey worn by all Union Cycliste Internationale World Champions.

He is pictured above wearing the jersey in Thursday's medal ceremony.

This isn't the first time Berenyi has stood in the international cycling spotlight. He won Gold, Silver and Bronze at the 2012 London Paralympic Games. He became a paralympic athlete after losing his right arm and left knee cap in a in a construction accident.

Way to go, Joe!
