Letter: Former Village President Says Johnson Committed to Community

I had the privilege of serving as Oswego Village President for two terms (1999-2007). During that time I worked with so many smart and dedicated residents and business leaders who wanted to help make Oswego an even better place. Gail Johnson was one of those people. Gail and her family have lived in Oswego for more than 30 years. She is also a respected business executive. Gail owns Face to Face Communications & Training, which is based in Oswego.
Gail gives so much of her time and expertise to help the community. She has volunteered her time at the Park District, at Kendall County PADS, and at HESED House. Gail has served as President of the Oswego Chamber of Commerce, as Chair of the Oswegoland Park and Recreation Foundation, as the first Chair of the Oswego Visitors Bureau, and as a member of the Oswego Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors. During my first term, I participated in an economic development strategic planning process that was facilitated by: you guessed it, Gail Johnson!
I can cite so many examples of her commitment to the community. Here is just one. Several years ago, as President of the Oswego Chamber of Commerce, she helped launch “Walk This Way,” a campaign to help minimize the disruption on our downtown businesses during the Main Street construction project.
Gail has served as a Village Trustee since 2011. She is now a candidate for Village President. There is no one more qualified to lead Oswego during the next four years. I am proud to give her my endorsement. Please vote for Gail Johnson, Oswego Village President, on April 7th!
