Thompson sixth-grader Karly Quarnstrom raised $3,400. Her mom said her inspiration was her dad, who has been battling a primary brain tumor since before his daughter was born. (All photos provided by parents)

Dozens of students and teachers came together at two Oswego School District 308 junior high schools Friday, March 27, to shave their heads to benefit The St. Baldrick's Foundation and the organization's work to help find a cure for childhood cancer.

To date, the two schools have raised over $28,000!

Donations are still rolling in and being counted at both schools, but so far the students and staff at Thompson have raised about $16,000, while over at Murphy about $12,000 had been collected through the day of the event.

Congratulations to everyone involved in these awesome events, and thank you to the parents who provided the photos!
