Oswego Fire Protection District firefighters quickly doused a fire in the 200 block of Fernwood Road in Boulder Hill Thursday afternoon.

According to the district, units were called to the scene at 1:12 p.m. for a report of a bedroom fire. Engines arrived at the home about three minutes after dispatch and firefighters searched the home. The home was unoccupied, and the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes, the district said.

Damages are estimated at about $30,000, and no injuries were reported.

The OFPD was assisted by the Plainfield and Bristol Kendall fire departments. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
