Oswego Man Charged After Joliet Fight, Shooting

An Oswego man Joliet Police say is a member of gang was charged with mob action and aggravated battery after a Sunday night fight at a Joliet bar. 

Serafin Castellanos, 35, whose last known address was in Oswego, was part of a group of about 13 individuals involved in a fight that led to the shooting of a 19-year-old man. The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. at Los Diaz Bar and Liquors. 

According to a report in the Joliet Herald, the man was shot in the torso and head and was left with life-threatening injuries. Joliet Police said the argument was between two rival gangs.

Four Aurora men and one Joliet man also were arrested, police said. The men were arrested after being pulled over near the bar, 
the Herald reported.
