After two years at Village Hall, Oswego's Wine on the Fox will return May 2 and 3 to the banks of the Fox River.

The area's largest wine-tasting festival moved from Hudson Crossing Park in 2013 to the grounds of Village Hall after the park was flooded in severe storms. It remained at its new location in 2014.

"Over the last several years, flooding has been a major issue and concern," said Michelle Brown, Community Relations Manager for the village of Oswego. "However, we understand that the ambience of the park is much more appealing.  We knew it was time to give the park another try and hope for the best and that Mother Nature cooperates with us."

This year's fest is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Wine tasting is $15 per day for a souvenir wine glass, a wristband and five tasting tickets. An advanced two-day pass may be purchased for $25 ,which includes one souvenir wine glass and 20 tasting tickets (10 per day).

Advanced Two-Day Passes are non-refundable and can be purchased at the Oswego Village Hall. Additional tasting tickets are $1 each.

In addition to 18 Illinois wineries, the festival also will feature several local musical acts, including Oswego's own Tom Sharpe, the Ethan Bell Band and Whiskey Romance.
