Oswego High School French Students Receive Honors

Anna Dreas and Mitchell Fornek
The American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) is pleased to announce that Oswego High School student Anna Dreas has received a 2015 AATF Outstanding Senior in French Award.
This award is made annually to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in the study of French as well as exceptional commitment to the French language and the many cultures where it is spoken. Recipients must have completed at least three years of French study at the time of graduation and be non-native speakers of French.
The AATF is also pleased to announce that Mitchell Fornek has received a 2015 AATF Excellence in French Award. This award is made annually to a student who has demonstrated excellence in the study of French. Recipients must be non-native speakers of French.
Anna Dreas has studied French for four years and is the student of Jennifer Sigman. She competed in the National French Contest and is a member of French Club. Mitchell Fornek has also studied French for four years and is the student of Jennifer Sigman. He is a member of the gymnastics team.
The AATF was founded in 1927 and has as its mission the promotion of the study of French language and French-speaking literature and cultures at all levels. We are proud to recognize the achievements of outstanding students and their teachers. We hope that this award will motivate students to continue their study of French either through a career in teaching or as a complement to any other profession.
