A 45-year-old Montgomery woman riding her bike was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center Thursday morning after being struck by an RV.

According to an Oswego Police report, the woman was riding her bike on a sidewalk near Farm & Fleet at about 11 a.m. when she was struck by an open cargo door on the RV driven by a 64-year-old Naperville man.

The impact of the door caused the woman to lose control of her bike and crash, police said.

According to Cathy Nevara, Oswego Police media relations officer, the woman was struck after the driver of the RV noticed the door had opened and was in the process of slowing the vehicle.

The woman was taken to the hospital after complaining of pain in her shoulder.

No tickets were issued, according to police.
